Making the Future a Reality

Making the Future a Reality

Over the last decade, Presagis has built a strong reputation in helping create the complexity of the real world in a virtual one.

Materials & Sensor Simulation
Most defense organizations are interested in looking at or viewing things not just from an “out of the window perspective”, but also from a sensor perspective – from thermal, to infrared, or radar.

Whether it is for navigation, protection, or intelligence, it is easy to understand why it is so important to simulate sensors properly. These types of tools are vital for our customers when protecting borders, running intelligence missions, and tracking people, just to name a few applications.

Presagis can simulate IR sensors with Ondulus IR, night vision goggles with Ondulus NVG, and radars with Ondulus Radar -- our new tools that serves as frameworks for sensor simulations.

Ondulus is designed to emulate a source of energy, such as the sun, being projected at a location for a period of time. Over time, the sun’s energy has to pass through clouds, pollutants, humidity, etc., so it will lose some of its “strength” in certain wavelengths, before it “hits” some materials.

Materials, for their part, will either conduct, evaporate, reflect, or dissipate the energy. Materials can be simple, like wood or rock. However, you can also have complex materials such as composites: sand mixed with rocks and dirt. In addition, it is common to encounter layered materials such as windows that have a pane of glass, then a layer of gas, then another glass pane.

Presagis products have the ability to model, simple, composite, or layered materials within your virtual environment. Therefore, simulations can be as simple or complex as you like, depending on the degree of fidelity and realism needed.

Ondulus was designed to process multiple layers of data. This approach to Ondulus maximizes a customer’s data by letting them replace our out-of-the-box generic data with their own data and algorithms so that they can confidently use Ondulus to suit their specifications, needs and requirements.

This design has allowed Presagis to create real-time simulations developed in Canada. Thus, these products can be integrated in any solution, allowing it to be deployed and supported almost anywhere in the world.

In addition to physically accurate IR and Radar sensors, Presagis is forging ahead with Ondulus and working on LIDDAR and LEDDAR frameworks that will allow users to model any specific piece of equipment.

HMI Modelling & Display Graphics
Presagis is the worldwide leader in embedded graphics software tools for safety-critical and mission-critical display applications.

It has been providing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) graphical modeling tools to produce state-of-the-art graphics and highly optimized code for PC and embedded systems for over 30 years to the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industries.

Presagis develops, supports, and delivers cutting-edge HMI modeling tools for the prototyping and design of embedded display graphics. Presagis’ have been helping A&D organizations develop advanced displays for many kinds of applications including Heads-up Displays (HUD), Primary Flights Displays (PFD), Multi Function Displays (MFD), digital map overlays and UAS ground station controls among others for the last several decades.

Presagis pioneered both the prototyping of display graphics and automatic code generation for embedded systems in the 1990s and, since then, code generated by its flagship products VAPS and VAPS XT has been deployed to hundreds of aircrafts worldwide. Our flagship products VAPS XT, VAPS QCG and VAPS XT-178 have been used by over 500 A&D companies across hundreds of aircraft programs worldwide.
