Overview

Presagis was the first to release a qualifiable code generator for DO-178B certified avionics graphical software applications. We were also first to market with tools to support displays developed to meet the ARINC 661 standard.

Today, Presagis HMI software tools are currently in use within virtually every major avionics systems integrator worldwide, many land vehicles display manufacturers, and we are widely considered the de-facto solution for robust in-vehicle display applications.

In the past, it was common practice for systems integrators to hand code or use rudimentary modeling tools to develop embedded HMIs. Today, the rising costs of embedded development means many companies can no longer afford to create and maintain their own internal HMI tools. In addition, hiring the qualified engineers with graphics tool expertise and keeping pace with evolving standards and technologies can be challenging.

Embedded Platforms

With complete porting abstraction layers, VAPS XT and UA Accelerator create applications for virtually any target, desktop or embedded. Isolating the user interface model in this way ensures a design can be re-targeted to any available platform, with or without changes to functionality.

Separated into basic building blocks, VAPS XT porting layer is divided into operating system, graphics and target-specific, to combine code to operate on the platform of choice.

From simple non-OpenGL graphics platforms to those using the very latest technology such as OpenGL SC 2.0, from simple proprietary executives to modern desktop operating systems and certifiable RTOS’, the porting layer is customizable for the best look and performance. A separate section provides the ability to interface to system data via any accessible port or bus.
