Presagis is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) based in Montreal
The CTO reports to the General manager and is responsible for establishing the technology vision. The CTO is the company top technology executive, playing an integral role in the strategic direction, development, and future growth of Presagis. The ideal candidate will be able to get into the details while providing strategic, technical, and operating expertise and guidance, and bringing creativity, vision, and passion to the organization. He will play a critical role in the development of the company’s holistic business strategy, and lead the search for technologies that aligns with the company business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Developing long-term technology plans to sustain and support the business, anticipating the future trends as well as its impact on the business. Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for technology spending and initiatives.
- Create a strong internal culture to manage technology projects and work in partnership with internal functional teams (product management, operations, sales, marketing…) as a technology partner in forwarding business capabilities. By doing so we expect the organization maintain a competitive advantage over competitors and leveraging the Digital Ecosystem (gaming industry, AI…) in Montreal.
- Provide input to annual budget exercises, and manage organizational spending to set budgets. Assist in creating the Company’s holistic growth strategies.
- Work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and interact with partners and customers directly.
- Represent the company, as requested, in conferences, trade shows public engagements… assisting in writing papers for presentation at technical meetings. Attend selected technical meetings to be a voice for the company. Be proactively available to journalists writing about AI, Cloud infrastructure, gaming engines, GPUs and VR/AR/MR in the context of modeling and simulation.
Candidate profile
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff. Ability to think and act strategically and proactively. Strong writing and presentation skills (English).
- Minimum of 15 years experience in technology fields preferably in AI or VR/AR including 5 years in gaming sector/exposure.
- Firsthand knowledge in supervising development of software solutions
- Exposure to Defense or professional related markets a plus.
- Academic experience with exposure in participating in seminars, conferences, research publications representing the organization
- B.Tech / M. Tech / MCA/MBA degree with a passion working in a SME environment
