What is Seaweed Systems Inc.?

Seaweed Systems Inc. is a complete graphics solution provider for embedded systems with hardware, software, and service offerings. For more than 15 years Seaweed has been a one-stop shop for organizations developing devices that display both 2D and 3D graphics. Seaweed is dedicated to the market for embedded graphics, offering a comprehensive set of products for both standard and safety-critical environments. Seaweed's software products are available for use with a wide range of CPUs, graphics devices, real-time operating systems, and off-the-shelf board products. Seaweed's COTS products include SeaWind and SeaWind/178 OpenGL drivers.

Why did Presagis acquire Seaweed?

The synergies between our product lines, Presagis HMI products and Seaweed drivers, are unmistakable and a combined solution offers significant value to our combined customer base. Seaweed's embedded graphics expertise will bring further credibility and breadth to Presagis DO-178B qualifiable offerings and Seaweed's expertise will help Presagis to expand its leadership position in the safety-critical market.

How does Presagis plan to integrate Seaweed into its organization?

Presagis will maintain a development office in Seaweed's existing Boston location. All Seaweed employees will become active members of the Presagis team. This includes all members of the Seaweed Executive Team who will take on important roles in the Presagis organization helping to define and execute on our leadership position in the embedded graphics market.
