Presagis software tools can be used to create immersive and highly realistic military ground vehicle training simulations in order to help vehicle crews to identify and react to potential threats in the battle space. Terra Vista and Creator are ideal for developing accurate and realistic virtual environments, vehicle models, and road networks for vehicles. With STAGE, users can simulate threats, civilians, and friendly entities and can employ AI.implant for gunnery training. Vega Prime is perfect for visualizing the simulation on a PC or a projection system, and Vega Prime Sensor Products make it easy to integrate realistic sensor simulations. Users can leverage the integration of Vega Prime and VAPS XT to create advanced vehicle controls and Human-Machine Interfaces for use with generated 3D scenes. Partner spotlight \ CMLABS - VORTEX

CMLabs provides software and services for 3D real-time simulation of machine behaviour, physical motion and interactive environments for visual testing and training applications. Its Vortex for Vega Prime software toolkit seamlessly integrates high fidelity dynamics for realistic simulation of vehicles, machinery and robotics within Vega Prime.

Vortex for Vega Prime is a flexible platform for simulating land-based vehicles or machines with real-world attributes. The comprehensive feature set includes rigid-body dynamics, a comprehensive joint library with motors and limits, accurate collision detection, and vehicle dynamics.  Applications developers can create gears, motors, suspension models, hydraulics, wheels, tracks, and other components that, when assembled, result in a vehicle or machine that moves and behaves correctly.  In addition, developers are able to add physics to all the objects in a scene for a truly interactive simulation with no restrictions on behavior. Presagis is excited to announce the following product releases in October 2009.

Worldwide Database \ Version 1.0

For use with Presagis CDB-enabled COTS tools, the Presagis Worldwide Database (WWDB) is a synthetic database of the world in the open Common Database (CDB) format.  WWDB provides a baseline CDB dataset that can be used ‘as is’ or enhanced with a higher degree of visual representation and detail.  Because WWDB is designed to be highly extensible and scalable, users can work with the existing content and define higher resolution areas as well as seamlessly add and refine zones around the globe. 

The Worldwide Database was released on October 7th, 2009.

STAGE \ Version 6.0

The Presagis STAGE 6.0 delivers a powerful computer generations forces (CGF) application that has been enhanced with a large number of new features and improvements.

As an example, STAGE 6.0 includes integration of Vega Prime for delivery of a 2D and 3D viewer that can read CDB and OpenFlight formats out-of-the-box.

STAGE 6.0 was released on October 8th, 2009

Vega Prime: AFTER THE LIGHT COME THE SHADOWS

After talking about the new enhanced light lobes a few months ago, we will now look at the opposite end of the spectrum with shadows. No matter how nice and detailed a 3D model or terrain database is, its final look on-screen in a visual simulation will be largely driven by the quality of the Image Generation environment in which that model is rendered.

VAPS XT: Bringing Digital Maps to your displays

Whether it's to perform flight plan operations, to display terrain awareness information or to present situational awareness data, the need for a Digital Moving Map integrated into VAPS XT has been a common user request. With the release of VAPS XT 3.1, the Presagis HMI design software offers a 2D Digital Map solution which integrates with the General Dynamics' SoftMap solution.
