Reality Modelling - Bus Driving Simulator
Reality Modelling could not have created this database to the level of complexity and accuracy without the effectiveness and usability of Creator.
This project was awarded to Reality Modelling by FAAC, Inc. of Ann Arbor, Michigan, one of the world's largest vendors of driving simulators. The end user, the London Bus Company of the First Group, uses this project to enable new drivers to become familiarized with bus driving. It allows the drivers to learn all of the necessary practices and procedures in a safe learning environment.
The database contains 48 km of drivable road, as well as 26 km of countryside-based motorway and connecting roads, and an additional 22 km of built-up inner city roads. This extensive database, designed and built by Reality Modelling with Presagis Creator, is representative of a large London borough and simulates typical inner city driving, with its inherent problems, such as traffic, cyclists, sunken drain covers, constant signage, and low bridges.
