Real-time visual products for the military training and simulation industry
The goal of this project was to produce a Canadian area of 64km² in summer daytime with high quality detail, geometric modeling & photo-realistic textures. In order to improve the realism during movement of vehicles through the virtual
environment, we had to create homogeneity between the polygons and textures of the terrain and those of the vehicles. This was accomplished by adding levels of detail to all the point features which allowed simultaneous visualization of many vehicles and the maintenance of a 30Hz frame rate using Vega Prime. MultiGen Creator is beyond a doubt, the tool for all modeling work in real-time. It is indispensable for fast and efficient creation of models, levels of details and texture application.
