Makemedia - Construction Site Simulation
Makemedia created 5 visual databases for the ACT-UK Simulation Centre at Coventry University in the UK.
The ACT-UK Simulation Centre provides training environments in which trainees need to be fully immersed in the experience. Makemedia’s goal for this project was to create visual databases for ACT-UK that replicate 2 construction projects at exact points in time.
To achieve their goal, Makemedia used Creator, Vega Prime, and an innovative approach to database creation to produce models of unparalleled quality and detail.
To meet the required visual standard in this short timeframe, they also worked closely with Presagis engineers to ensure that they achieved the best possible results.
The team at Makemedia completed 10 visual databases in 9 months that showed the 2 construction projects from the initial foundations through to near completion. Ultimately, they were able to deliver all the technical details as well as to recreate the variety and realism of the construction sites.
