Unique DO-178B-qualifiable software chosen to develop and deploy safety-critical avionics display graphics.
CMC Electronics selected VAPS QCG (Qualifiable Code Generator) software tool suite to efficiently prototype, test, and deploy integrated cockpit avionics solutions for a military aircraft program.
"Reliability is paramount in the avionics industry, and Engenuity has earned our confidence with a flexible, proven product and their unfailing commitment to aircraft safety and customer support," said Patrick Champagne, vice president of Engineering, CMC Electronics. "We are confident that VAPS QCG will save significant time and cost by automating the development and certification for our avionics projects."
CMC Electronics chose Presagis for its VAPS QCG (Qualifiable Code Generator) product - the only qualifiable graphics development and automatic code generation tool to comply with DO-178B Level A certification standards. DO-178B provides guidelines for the production of safety-critical airborne systems software. The standards, which are published by the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA, Inc.) and mandated by Transport Canada, are equivalent to the requirements enforced by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
CMC Electronics designs and produces leading technology electronics products for the aviation and global positioning markets. CMC's focus is on delivering innovative cockpit systems integration and avionics solutions to its customers worldwide.
