Camber - Apache Pilot Training

Camber used Presagis solutions to create a game that helps Apache helicopter pilots identify infrared targets.

CamberThe HuntIR is an infrared target identification game that provides a more engaging and entertaining method of promoting target signature familiarization.  The game has a Flash based GUI that presents learning material prior to each level of game-play and was inspired by—and developed to replicate—the training objectives of the Recognition of Combat Vehicle flash cards.  Designed for students training to become Apache helicopter pilots, the game offers critical experience in target identification overview and IR sensor familiarization.

The game increases student skill levels in the classroom through its realistic content, repetition-based learning strategy, and point system that rewards fast-paced memorization.

Working with Presagis software solutions, the team at Camber used satellite imagery of Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, 10 meter digital elevation data, photos, as well as engineering drawings and artistic renderings to produce the game.  They generated their entities and culture with Creator and employed Terra Vista DART and Terra Vista Probuilder for their terrain environments.
