Creator and CTS were used to optimize the 3D model for real-time rendering.

 

b.design - Sacramento DatabaseFor this UAV simulation scene, b.design employed Creator and Creator Terrain Studio (CTS) in conjunction with in-house technology which automatically creates 3D models of geo-specific urban terrain. To achieve this, the team used Creator and CTS with standard raw materials, including orthophoto, oblique images from Pictometry, and DTM and GIS data to recreate a simulation of Sacramento, California, that is optimized to run on Vega Prime. The result is a full city 3D model that features all of the buildings' real details, including windows and doors, that will enable the end-user to quickly become familiar with target neighborhoods. The tools used to create this scene include Creator, CTS, Vega Prime, and the Vega Prime LADBM module.
