If you have been reading the Presagis Technology Blog regularly, you might remember an article that I wrote about a year ago entitled "Combine the graphics rendering forces of Vega Prime and VAPS XT". Expanding on the subject of mixing 2D and 3D graphics to create advanced simulation environments, I wrote an article for Military Embedded Systems magazine that was published in their October 2009 issue.

'Creating a simulated environment for UAS operator training' discusses how using a mix of integrated 2D and 3D COTS graphics tools can greatly accelerate the development and realism of simulators to fulfill the growing need for highly realistic training environments.

You can view an online version of the article on the MES web site or download an electronic version of the entire issue in PDF form here. You will even get a peek at what I look like if you follow one of these links. I hope that you will enjoy reading this longer article that talks about a specific application of our technologies.

Stay tuned to the blog in the next few weeks for the I/ITSEC demonstration deep dive that I promised before the holidays.
