The AI.implant Creator plugin adds additional menus right into the Creator interface. By selecting sections or all of an OpenFlight model, you can specify parts of the model that will become an environment's navigational mesh, quickly identify obstacles that the characters will avoid, and map OpenFlight surface types to blind data so that characters can intelligently navigate the environment. The plugin also supports building information that is created by the new ‘Buildings with Interior' Wizard.
As an example, take a quick look at Creator and the resulting AI.implant file that includes a few characters navigating within this demo environment.
Beyond the creation of the AI world, the Creator plugin also allows users to bring up the AI.explorer interface to create characters and waypoints, which can also be visualized within the 3D world. Once everything has been properly identified, the ACX export option will save everything in the AI.implant format.
While Creator is great to model small or medium size areas, the power of Terra Vista can be leveraged to create much larger correlated gaming areas for your AI.implant simulations. The new Terra Vista compiler adds new options within the interface to configure the output that will be produced. It is even possible to reference building interior data that was generated by Creator as well as export meta data which identifies the types of terrain that are present in the environment.
