By bringing cockpit display system and user-application development best practices together discover how user-application development can be accelerated with COTS tool UA2 working seamlessly with Presagis VAPS-XT 661 product.

UA2 – Rapid User Application Development

In this demonstration you will see how User-Applications that drive Cockpit-Display-Systems can be designed and auto-code generated with an optimised process; this allows software engineers to implement the user-interface dynamic requirements in the same modelling tool as the rest of the system, without the need for specialist ARINC 661 knowledge.

Development teams working with ARINC 661 User Applications will understand that User-Application development for intuitive cockpit displays is not easy; the demonstration shall show, by providing the most appropriate building blocks, the development to support intuitive displays can be simplified without making usability compromises.  Rapid prototyping using real displays becomes possible, whilst code line count and testing / verification effort decreases.

UA Emulator – ARINC 661 Message analysis, debug and test tool

At “Avionics Europe 2012” FSS and Presagis will present a demonstration of the ‘new to market’ UA Emulator tool.

UA Emulator is a specialised ARINC661 Message analysis, debug and test tool designed to make the manipulation and understanding of ARINC 661 messages easy.  The demonstration shall show how UA Emulator enables rapid widget debugging, ARINC 661 traffic-log analysis and User Application emulation with repeatable scenarios.

With its intuitive user-interface it is possible to create simple tests and detect issues quickly with minimal prior ARINC 661 knowledge.

UA Emulator integrates with Presagis VAPS-XT661 enabling users to browse layers and widgets and create messages via quick menus.  The user interface is designed to enable novices get to grips with ARINC 661 messaging, with all the detail available for ARINC 661 expert analysis when required.
