The Vega Prime Multi-Channel module is a cross-platform and extendable development environment that delivers a wide range of customizable optimizations and functionality.
This module is ideal for the rapid development and deployment of fully synchronized multiple channel applications that employ multiple computers for contiguous rendering across multiple displays.
The ‘Master’ system and multiple ‘Client’ systems relations established between machines within one configuration using Vega Prime Multi-Channel provides optimized rendering that is fully customizable and scalable. In addition to its C++ STL-compliant architecture, the intuitive interface in Vega Prime Distributed Rendering addresses the stringent requirements of cross-platform real-time 3D application development and deployment.
The general defining requirements for distributed rendering are any application with a single input and multiple contiguous or non-contiguous displays. Any Vega Prime application can be used with Multi-Channel by simple adding a few settings in LynX Prime.
Vega Prime Multi-Channel includes tools that enable the simple setup and configuration of multiple channel applications over a network (LAN). As a result, you can easily enable multi-channel applications using a GUI interface utility that allows you to set up, test, manage, and configure your applications on the appropriate hardware.
The following features are part of the Vega Prime Multi-Channel module:
Fully synchronized
Full software synchronization across virtual pipelines; synchronized App/Cull/Draw threads, paging for Virtual Textures, geometry, scene graph, and framebuffer; and full support for most Vega Prime modules.
Cross-Platform
Supports both low cost and high performance hardware, and distributed applications can be developed and deployed on any supported operating system.
GUI Configuration and management tools
GUI Tools are provided for simple configuration, testing, management, and implementation of multi-channel applications.
Easy to implement
Any Vega Prime application can be easily turned into a multi-channel application at any time in the development process with no changes to the application itself.
Enabling of distributed rendering
Enabling can be easily accomplished through LynX Prime and the Distributed rendering utilities.
