Custom Application
"Custom Application" allows manipulation of external (3rd party) applications.
Supported application invocation parameters:
-
Additional Search Path – Appends the list of folders to the environment variable PATH
-
Argument Line – Argument line past to the application executable
-
Executable – File specification of the application executable
CDB generation (CDBGEN)
CDBGEN is a tool capable of generating a valid CDB from source elevation and imagery data:
Supported input formats:
-
Imagery in GeoTIFF format (WGS84 & Geographic earth models only)
-
Elevation data in DTED (0,1,2) format
Supported output formats (refer to CDB specification for details):
-
Imagery CDB dataset
-
Elevation CDB datasets
-
Elevation min-max CDB datasets
Resolution:
-
For imagery—Capable of generating up to CDB LOD 2 (32 meters per pixel).
-
For elevation—Capable of generating up to CDB LOD 0 (108.8 meters per pixel, equivalent to DTED 1).
Key Features:
-
Generate imagery and elevation in a single execution or call separately for each data type.
-
CDB output is produced at the resolution of the source data (if within resolution limits) according to CDB LOD definitions.
-
CDB output GeoTiles are deduced from source data. No need to specify the covered region of processing.
-
Imagery merging with existing CDB. (Note: Where GeoTIFF imagery does not cover a complete GeoTile, imagery will be completed by existing CDB imagery.)
-
Coarser CDB LODs are automatically generated (as dictated by CDB specification) to a CDB LOD of -10.
-
Source folder hierarchy processing (all source files under a folder are considered).
CDB copy (local disk)
The “CDB copy (local disk)” allows the user to make a local copy on disk of a CDB. It is most useful to copy part of a CDB by adding scope limitor to the copy.
CDB archive to zip
“CDB archive to zip” allows the user to create a single zip file of a CDB or a subset of a CDB database through the supported scope limitor.
CDB remote copy
“CDB remote copy” allows the user to copy a CDB between Utilities Manager nodes.
CDB file scope limitor by region
“CDB File scope limitor by region” allows the user to specify a subset of a CDB to operate on. The subset is delimited by latitude and longitude.
CDB file scope limitor by dataset
“CDB File scope limitor by dataset” allows the user to specify a subset of a CDB to operate on. The subset is delimited by the CDB datasets to include in the operation.
CDB file scope limitor by dataset/LOD
“CDB File scope limitor by dataset/LOD” allows the user to specify a subset of a CDB to operate on. The subset is delimited by a finest LOD for each datasets to include in the operation. CDB LODs range from -10 (coarsest) to +23 (finest).
