With Vega Prime IR Scene, users can add real-time quantitative sensor displays to any Vega Prime application, and Vega Prime IR Sensor is ideal for adding realistic sensor effects to scenes, including night vision goggles (NVG) and medium and long wave IR devices.

Integration
Delivered as integrated Vega Prime modules, IR, NVG, and Radar displays can be easily added to any Vega Prime application. Sensor displays can be developed through either the LynX Prime graphical user interface for greater efficiency and productivity or through a C++ Application Programming Interface (API) for increased flexibility. Numerous samples are provided to enhance productivity out-of-the-box.
Correlation
IR, NVG, and Radar Sensor displays use the same geometry and are fully correlated with the out-the-window visual environment.
Realism and Accuracy
Vega Prime IR Scene computes and displays quantitative sensor images of natural features, cultural features, and dynamic objects at real-time frame rates. With Vega Prime IR Sensor, users can add realistic sensor effects to scenes generated with Vega Prime IR Scene to match the characteristics of a wide range of sensors.

Dynamic Shadows
Create dynamic shadows in the scene based on the celestial bodies (sun/moon).
This capability provides dynamic self shadowing of entities and objects, terrain shadowing of objects/entities, object/entity shadowing of terrain and other objects/entities.
These dynamic shadows are supported in the OTW, NVG, and IR wavelengths.
Dynamic shadows provide increased realism and training value.
VC9 (2008) Support
Support for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (aka VC9) compiler is now included with Vega Prime and the Sensor toolkit Products.
To increase realism and scene aesthetics, Sensors provide the ability to represent the ‘City Glow' effect seen on the horizon in NVG caused by the large amount of cultural lighting in urban areas. This effect is represented by a large area of light or a glow across the horizon.
