Vega Prime LADBM (Large Area Database Management)
Vega Prime LADBM (Large Area Database Management) is a cross-platform and extendable development environment specifically designed to facilitate the development and deployment of applications that require very large or complex databases. High performance levels are guaranteed by optimizing the loading and organization of large datasets through the dynamic paging of “tiles” and user definable paging centers or Areas of Interest.
Vega Prime LADBM offers optimized rendering that is fully customizable and scalable to take advantage of available resources. Designed for use with the MetaFlight XML-based file specification and database description format, Vega Prime LADBM works to ensure that the composition and relationship of large datasets is communicated in the most efficient streamlined manner possible. The hierarchical data structure of the MetaFlight file is preserved in the runtime scene graph for optimal performance.
By taking advantage of Vega Prime core capabilities, including double precision and multi-threading, Vega Prime LADBM is the ideal commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution for large area visual simulations. And, the combination of a GUI configuration tool, including “wizards,” and advanced API functionality provides an infrastructure ideally suited for real-time 3D application development.
