IR Sensor


Vega Prime IR Sensor adds realistic sensor effects to scenes generated with Vega Prime IR Scene that match the characteristics of a wide range of sensors using vis-sim-style graphics parameters or real-world analytic sensor parameters.  With support for a comprehensive set of sensor effects, IR Sensor is ideal for simulating devices that operate in any of the wavelengths supported by IR Scene, including electro-optical (EO) imagers, night vision goggles (NVGs), and medium and long wave infrared devices.

Easily add realistic sensor effects in rendered Vega Prime IR Scene images.
Visually or analytically specified effects+ details
Effects can be either visually specified via graphics parameters or analytically via sensor parameters.
Controllable analytical parameters + details
Include optical aperture size and f-number, optical transmittance and obscuration, defocus error, aberration blur, average normalized detectivity (D*), detector pitch, angular subtense and detector geometry, scan efficiency, system noise factor and 3dB bandwidth, serial and overscan ratios, and scan/frame rates.

With IR Sensor, you can produce analytically correct effects based on real-world sensor parameters and have them rendered at real-time frame rates.  Using either a flexible API or a point and click GUI interface, you can also rapidly add, create, and deploy accurate real-time sensor effects to your simulations.  In addition, IR Sensor allows you to easily add sensor effects using either the visually qualitative “Graphics Style” parameters or the more analytically quantitative “Analytical” Parameters.
