In last versions of Vega Prime is there a way to make slave applications join after Master application has started running?

For example, I use cluster with 3 nodes. Then one of Slave computers restart. After that I must restart Master application in order to make whole cluster work again or exist another way?

There currently is no mechanism to achieve the results you desire.  If a slave drops out, you must restart your application.  It would be nice if you could rejoin the cluster.

Thank you.

One more question.

In “Vega Prime Options Guide” I read about what Distributed Rendering does

8. Prevents performance degradation of individual nodes when nodes are tied together in a cluster.

Please tell me meaning of this sentence.

Presagis is saying that they have a layer of “secret sauce” in the Distributed Rendering module that insures optimal performance (“Prevents performance degradation…”) of each render node (computer,IG channel)  in the rendering cluster.  I’m not quite sure what’s in the sauce, but they do have scene management technology that may help support DR realize this claim.  I’ve used DR for quite some time ... I’m happy with the product.
