Hello,
This may have been cover in past forum, but different versions of “Forum Search”, “refresh”, “refresh screen”,... does not work in Creator and window 7.  There must be something I forgot.  One new system use Window 7 OS, Creator 4.0.
I load in a model and I delete faces from the model and move the scene around to get at other faces.  However, nothing moves so I wait a few seconds thinking Creator is thinking about it (this does not happen on the other two systems with XP OS).  After 30 seconds I finally resort to right clicking in the Creator title bar and pick “Restore”, which change window to a default smaller size.
Is this like the problem in another topic with Window 7 about selecting with fence mode and seeing a gray box and the fix was to switch to “Classic Window 7” (which I had to do)?
Is there a flag in “Preference” to click to get automatic refresh/restore to work after making changes to a model?

Robert

The short official answer is that Creator 4.1 and lower are released for Win XP PRO.  Win 7 is not support (yet)  Now that I got that off my chest grin lets move on to the refresh issue.  I noticed that the refresh issue on Win 7 is improved if the Screen Refresh Rate is set to the highest Hz allowed for your monitor (refer to your monitor user guide and accept the risks stated within)

Any luck with this Kent?

You can also changing the windows theme to classic. It resolves a few other rendering bugs, perhaps it will fix this one for you.

Sorry - this was NOT my problem like Windows was NOT my idea.  I was just chiming in with a general disparagement on Windows.

In fact, I don’t believe Windows 7 is allowed on our boxes due to current IA vulnerabilities.

Dr Swaney?

Chris,
The machine that I posted this for is used by another person, and I have not spoken to her lately.  I switched it to the “classic” mode already to fix the gray bounding box when selecting thing in the graphics area.  I will try to talk to the user to see if thing are the same.
