I have come to rely on the ‘Last Eyepoint’ setting, but I think a little tweaking could make this useful function into something wonderful.
The thing that gets my goat is during the normal day, often I have to fine tune the view - which becomes my new last view, only I’ve moved maybe a coupla feet, sometimes only rotated a bit.
I do use the stored eyepoints, keeping 1 and 2 for start/stop procedures, but what I’m thinking about is a more fluid approach to the “last” view…
Is there some way to either filter the spatial coordinates, so that moving within _n_ units won’t obliterate the last view setting (_n_ is a user pref), or save a queue of the last _N_ views? I know, this could potentially eat up all available memory, maybe affect the balance of power, etc. if not implemented well, but hey! I’m just trying to save some goats! Maybe neither of these is a workable implementation, but hopefully there is some way to keep the ?sponteneity?/freedom/immediacy of that last view setting without having to save an eyepoint every few seconds :D
