* vp in a windows window
* no acf
* distributed rendering
* no agents
* tiled openflight or metaflight database

I’m curious.  How do you handle data driven aspects?  Is everything that could be variable (ie. terrain db) hardcoded into the exe?  I like the idea of simpler installs into our customers target machines but there would be no way of getting around no having config files.  In fact we are going in the other direction by heavily relying on custom user module plug-ins to the ACF files.

One customer may want this but not that or they may simply get this but not that unless they pay extra for it.  Modularity is the key to our model.

Been away,
sorry for the last post ... but ...There are other ways to get your system up and running without an acf ...

That being said ... my system is flexible enough to accept an acf if the user really needed to do so.
