I was wondering if there were any known issues with running Windows 7 and Creator?  Dell doesn’t look like it’s offering Vista any longer(as though one should ever wish to run it) or XP.

thanks,
Matt

You can still get Windows7 Downgrade with XP installed via Dell.  In my environment, since we do not have widespread IA compliance with -7 on our network configuration, that’s how we’re purchasing everything right now.

I have been running Creator on windows 7 for several weeks now.  I have not got into any serious modeling efforts, however I have not noticed any major problems.  In fact the only problem I have seen at all is an opengl rendering issue when you marquee select.  Instead of drawing a dotted rectangle outline, it draws a solid gray box.  I hear this can be fixed by changing the windows theme, but it really doesn’t bother me all that much. (it could also be my graphics driver)

Keep in mind however, that windows 7 is not a supported OS.  If you can get your hands on XP, that is the safest bet.

In case anyone is interested, to get rid of the marquee selection drawing issue in windows 7, just change your theme to windows 7 basic.
