Project Engineering Manager (67474)

Presagis is looking for a Project Engineering Manager. This position plans, organizes, and controls an assigned project from potentially managing the proposal through project or program life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, engineering and corporate growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing multiple and moderately complex projects, programs, engineering activities and proposals.
  • Responsible for managing technical aspects for programs. Manage day-to-day progress of projects through constant interaction with teams of engineers, product developers, support personnel and customer project teams.
  • Daily collaboration with a wide variety of functional areas such as engineering, marketing, product development, product management, finance and operations to meet or beat cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Provide financial and technical justification for program definition and functioning.
  • Coordinate and develop programmatic engineering plans.
  • Coordinate and develop financial plans for programs.
  • Manage the program's performance to the program plans.
  • Oversee and coordinate program budgets and schedules
  • Prepare, conduct, and run to medium to complex technical and management meetings with internal and external customers. Create and present formal presentations as per project requirements and customer needs.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other departments as applicable in support of program.
  • Produce viable cost proposals in response to customer demands and marketing trends.
  • May be responsible for marketing new technology or follow-on business acquisition.
  • Establish project-based business networks to fulfill and create customer intimacy.
  • Maintain communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for current and future programs.
  • Participate in both the program management discipline evolution within the organization and support to the engineering branch as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 4-6 years of technical program/project experience (Experience with software development programs is preferred).
  • Knowledge of program budget and schedule development and management.
  • Experience creating and managing the development of proposals.
  • Experience managing contracts valued from $1-5M preferred
  • Knowledge of flight simulators market or modeling & simulation (M&S) industry products, solutions for training systems is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Bi-lingual with English and French is beneficial for this position.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 PM and Engineering processes required
  • Previous use of ERP programs like JIRA, Unanet, Sales Force, Workday, Webex, etc., are all beneficial for this position
  • Moderate knowledge of the manufacturing/ engineering market, preferably in flight simulation and training.
  • Experience working with military customers and products is preferred.
  • PMP and/or Acquisition (DAWIA) Level II/III in PM certification recommended.
  • Ability to travel extensively, nationally and internationally, for extended periods of time.
