Presagis is honoring the achievements of our customers and partners with a series of distinguished awards.  Presented annually at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), the Presagis Awards recognize the creativity and innovation made possible by our COTS Embedded Graphics and Modeling & Simulation software solutions.

Criteria

We developed a number of award categories to reflect the wide variety of applications that our customers and partners are building with Presagis solutions.  Award categories include:

• Most valuable plug-in or application based on a Presagis product API
• Best Visualization Application
• Best Simulation Application
• Best Database
• Best 3D Model
• Best HMI Application
• Most Innovative Application
• Most valuable Presagis Partner (Presagis Partners can also apply for any of the awards mentioned above)

Submissions in all categories will be judged on content, supporting documentation, and the criteria for each specific category.

Winners

Awards will be handed out at I/ITSEC 2012, and winners will be announced by press release at the show and highlighted in the Presagis Newsletter and on Presagis.com.  In addition, winning recipients and their projects will be showcased in customer profiles to be distributed at future events and beyond.

Award Categories

Most Valuable Plug-In or Application Based on a Presagis Product API

This award goes to the most valuable functionality added by a Presagis software user using a Presagis software API or extension capability. The design of the new application or capability as well as its optimization and performance will be taken into account to select the winner.

Best Visualization Application (IG, Stealth or OTW)

This award is for the best visualization application that is built using Vega Prime.  The application must be deployable as an independent visualization application and be either an Image Generator (IG), a stealth viewer, an out-the-window (OTW) view, or any other visualization application for simulation.  The criteria for evaluation include:

• Realism
• Performance (determinism, frame rate, effective use of shaders/techniques)
• Application scope (for example: fast jet only; ground and flight; area size; Complexity/density -amount of data in the scene)
• Configuration scope (for example: # of channels, # of participants, customization - use of user-defined features or capabilities)

Best Simulation Application

This award promotes the success of our customer in developing a reliable, robust, and innovative simulation application (EMS training, BattleLab application, Network centric warfare testing, Full flight trainer ...) with the use of Presagis simulation solutions.

The criteria for evaluation include:

• The challenges solved by the application
• The fast turnover to deliver the application
• The level of interoperability achieved by the application. 

Best Database

The "Best Database" award is given to the most sophisticated database created using Terra Vista tools.   The criteria for evaluation include:

• Visual appearance
• Size and complexity of the database
• Clients working with the database
• Number of formats generated
• Correlation

Best 3D Model

This award is given to the best 3D model created using Creator.  The criteria for evaluating the "Best 3D Model" include:

• Model efficiency
• Appearance and realism

Best HMI Application

This category recognizes innovative development of Human-Machine Interfaces using VAPS, VAPS XT, or VAPS XT-178. Though the primary focus is on avionics systems, special consideration will be given to applications which are used in other industries, or are unique in nature.

Most Innovative Application

The "Most Innovative Application" award is given to the customer or partner who demonstrates the greatest innovation with Presagis tools.  This innovation can be related to a new application of M&S tools or to an emerging market, or it could be for accomplishing something no one else has even considered yet with the technology.  The criteria for evaluating the "Most Innovative Application" include:

• Uniqueness
• Method of approach
• Real-world Applicability

Most Valuable Industry Partner

Presagis will honor one partner as it's most valuable for 2012.  This partner will have excelled in delivering exceptional value to the industry and Presagis customers over the course of the previous year.

Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Customer time and cost savings from the use of the partner products or services
• Customer application performance improvements from the use of the partner products or services
• Overall improvement of customer application quality and aesthetics from the use of the partner products or services
• Partner demonstrated technology innovation
