Presagis Awards Now Accepting Nominations

Montreal - July 22, 2009 - Presagis, a leading provider of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation and embedded display graphics software, is inviting its partners and customers in the modeling and simulation community to nominate its best work for the annual Presagis Awards. Honoring the hard work and innovation of developers using COTS tools from Presagis, the company will announce the winners at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) taking place in Orlando, Florida from November 30 to December 3, 2009.

"Never before has our industry met such demand or moved so quickly to deliver results," said Nick Giannias, Vice President, Research and Technology, Presagis. "The Presagis Awards are designed to recognize the hard-working individuals and teams that are dedicated to the creation of compelling, effective and dynamic modeling and simulation applications."

The Presagis Awards are open until October 2^nd at 5:00 p.m. EST. Nominations can be made on the Presagis website under the following seven categories:

• Most Valuable Plug-in or Application Based on a Presagis Product API

Presagis is looking for the most original or complete user plug-in, or an additional module, that has extended a Presagis product using a Presagis API. Submissions will be judged on the design of the new application, its capability as well as its optimization and performance.

• Best Visualization Application

This award is for Vega Prime users developing visualization applications such as image generators, stealth viewers, or out-the-window views.  The winning submission will be awarded for its realism, performance and scope of application and configuration.

• Best Simulation Application

Recognizing innovative simulation applications such as emergency medical service training, BattleLab applications or network centric warfare resting, the winner of this category will have an application that solves complex challenges and is highly interoperable.

• Best Database

Presagis will select a winner in this category based on a database created with Terra Vista.  It will be evaluated on criteria that include visual appearance, size and complexity, number of clients working with the database, correlation and number of formats generated.

• Best 3D Model

For developers creating 3D models with Creator, Presagis will award the best 3D model based on its efficiency, appearance and realism.

• Most Innovative Application

Have you pushed the limits of innovation in your application? Whether it's a new application of M&S tools or an app for an emerging market, this award will be based on the application's uniqueness, real-world applicability and method of approach.

• Most Valuable Industry Partner

Delivering exceptional value to the industry and Presagis customers is no easy feat. This award will be given to the Presagis partner that helps customers save time and costs, increase application performance, and improve the quality and aesthetics of applications.
