Montreal, Canada - June 30th, 2004 - Engenuity Technologies Inc. [TSX: EGY], a leading provider of visualization and simulation software for the development of advanced applications, and its Hong Kong based partner Jialing International, today announced the sale of STAGE Scenario, VAPS and related professional services to a major Chinese defense systems integrator.
Engenuity’s combined simulation solution will be used as the framework for an advanced naval tactical trainer intended for the Peoples Republic of China Navy. This is Engenuity’s third major order in the Asia Pacific region for a naval warfare simulation application, a promising market with many growth opportunities.
The consulting services portion of the contract includes several technology integration enhancements to STAGE Scenario in order to facilitate its adoption within the Chinese simulation market.
The enhancements include an interface to Oracle® Database, the world’s leading database technology, and the capability for STAGE to run real-time on a Windows®-based operating system. The new features place Engenuity in an advantageous position given Oracle’s strong presence in the Chinese database market.
“We are very pleased about this success, a direct result of our renewed focus on the Asia Pacific simulation market during the past year,” said Patrice Commune, president and CEO of Engenuity Technologies. “Our network of worldwide partners, first-rate consulting team, and extensive history of providing leading software solutions for the simulation market allows our customers to succeed on a global scale.”
