San Jose, CA - MultiGen-Paradigm®, Inc., a leading provider of realtime 3D visual simulation software solutions, announced the availability of Sensor Prime™ v2.0. Sensor Prime is a suite of optional modules that plug into the Vega Prime application development framework that enable customers to rapidly develop and deploy mathematically accurate, physics-based sensor simulation applications.
Sensor Prime v2.0 provides many improvements and features aimed directly at providing the developers of sensor simulation applications optimal performance, productivity, and realism. Shader-based enhancements such as AGC/AGL and AC Coupling effects serve to significantly improve the performance of applications, while enhancements including shader-based per texel temperature and lighting for terrain, support for off-screen rendering, an updated materials database, a global sensor palette, increased image format support, and dynamic diurnal variation in IR texture serve to greatly improve the realism of applications delivered using Sensor Prime.
Multiple enhancements that significantly reduce the resources and effort required in developing realtime3D applications are included in the latest version including debugging tools, LynX Prime enhancements, and advanced user configurable statistics gathering and display.
"For professionals developing sensor simulation applications in today's high pressure visual simulation marketplace, Vega Prime and Sensor Prime enable developers to focus on application specific requirements, rather than having to spend time and resources reinventing existing functionality," said Christian Cole, Director of Product Management at MultiGen-Paradigm "With the release of Sensor Prime 2.0, we have continued our tradition of delivering on the promise of providing the most productive, accurate, and realistic tools available for the professional developer of realtime visual simulation and sensor applications."
