Next-generation software tools provider Instinct Technology has completed an agreement with Engenuity Technologies Inc. to become sole distributor of the AI.implant middleware product for video game developers throughout the EMEA region.

Developed and distributed by Montreal-based Engenuity Technologies, AI.implant is an artificial intelligence authoring and runtime solution for major next generation games platforms including “PLAYSTATION®3” and Microsoft® Xbox® 360. AI.implant offers intelligent pathfinding in dynamic physical environments and enables designers and programmers to rapidly create realistic, real-time character and crowd behaviors. AI.implant is currently in use by some of the world’s largest studios and publishers including Midway Games and Vivendi Games.

Under the terms of the agreement, Instinct Technology will be the exclusive reseller of the AI.implant product to video game developers and publishers throughout the EMEA region, both in addition to its own Instinct Studio suite and as a standalone product.
