MONTRÉAL - September 13th. 2005 - Engenuity Technologies Inc. (TSX: EGY). a leading provider of solutions for the development of high-end visualization and simulation applications. today announced the release of STAGE Scenario 5.2. the latest version of its simulation toolkit. Scenario 5.2 features highly advanced integration capabilities such as out of the box compliancy with the HLA (High-Level Architecture) 1516 and 1.3 protocols as well as the addition of nCOM™. Engenuity's new communications protocol.
HLA 1.3 defines a common framework for bringing together a number of independent or distributed simulations into a single simulation. Using these HLA protocols. simulations created in STAGE Scenario 5.2 can easily communicate with other computer simulations right out of the box. regardless of the computing platform.nn
nnnCOM is an innovative integration enabler that provides users with an easy way to connect Engenuity products and third-party products through a user-friendly GUI interface. virtually eliminating the need for integration coding. nCOM also features an API (Application Program Interface) which allows any third-party software to communicate with all nCOM-enabled products.
"With STAGE Scenario 5.2 and nCOM. Engenuity continues to lead the industry by offering true plug-and-play runtime integration." said Robert Kopersiewich. director of product management. Engenuity Technologies. "We are committed to developing innovative. powerful software solutions that meet our customers' unique needs. nCom offers seamless integration amongst all Engenuity and third-party products. providing customers with the ability to leverage their existing technology investments."
Scenario 5.2 also offers enhanced usability with the introduction of Design Time Communications (DTC) which allows any third-party product (such as a 3D viewer) to be automatically updated in design-time to correspond with the scenario and database. Additionally. Scenario 5.2 provides enhanced flexibility through internationalization capabilities. and the unique Transfer of Control feature which enables users to hand over control of an entity within a scenario to another party.
Scenario 5.2 will be the first in the STAGE product family to feature the nCOM communication protocol. with Flightsim and Helisim to follow in Fall 2005. along with the VAPS suite of products.
