With a goal of gaining more customers in the modeling and simulation world,  Common Database (CDB), which was developed for U.S. Army special operations forces, has been put into the public domain and will be overseen by Presagis.

The open-standard database architecture is designed to support all M&S applications, and Presagis will be responsible for further development and support of CDB as a publicly available specification. “Presagis is all about open standards, adopting open standards, and the CDB is open,” said Nick Giannias, vice president of research and technology.
