Leading provider of VizSim software wins 2006 North American Distributed Mission Operations Product Innovation of the Year
Montreal, Canada – November 27, 2006 — Engenuity Technologies Inc. (TSX: EGY), a leading provider of solutions for the development of high-end visualization and simulation applications, has won Frost & Sullivan’s 2006 North American Distributed Mission Operations Product Innovation of the Year Award for its STAGE SimBuilder product. The STAGE family of products provides simulation and training solutions for generating real-time synthetic environments combined with high-fidelity flight simulation models.
The STAGE toolkit has been used to develop Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), a distributed training system that allows diverse military organizationsto rehearse highly complex missions through wide area virtual and constructive environments. With the STAGE SimBuilder plug-in, DMO integrators can connect legacy simulation systems using the High Level Architecture (HLA) protocol – the interoperability standard set by the U.S. Department of Defense.
“Increasingly, various nations are collaborating on military initiatives and there is a growing concern about how to integrate the different systems. Engenuity is one of the few VizSim vendors offering tools that connect divergent systems right out of the box,” said Garrick Ngai, aerospace and defense industry research analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “With the HLA capabilities found in STAGE, Engenuity demonstrates that it understands the difficulties faced by military organizations when they integrate legacy simulation systems.”
“We are honoured to receive such a prestigious award from a world-class analyst firm,” said Patrice Commune, President and CEO of Engenuity Technologies. “This award recognizes our continued commitment to building powerful and cost-effective simulation tools for our customers. As the needs of the simulation market change, our customers know that they can look to Engenuity products such as STAGE to keep them on the forefront of VizSim technology.”
The latest version of STAGE will be demonstrated at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), Engenuity booth 849, from December 4 – 7, 2006.
