I/ITSEC 2010 OpenFlight User Group

Presagis is pleased to invite you to join us at I/ITSEC 2010 for our next OpenFlight User Group Meeting.

To register for this event, please click here.

The OpenFlight format, developed and supported by Presagis, has a long history in the M&S community and has been widely adopted within the market as a result of the high level of flexibility, open connectivity, and interoperability of the format.

To ensure the OpenFlight standard continues to serve the needs of the visual simulation community
in the years to come, Presagis is attentive to actively engage the community by hosting and supporting user group meetings and open forums.

New implementations through OpenFlight Extensions will help reduce the amount of time and effort needed to manually generate 3D models and terrain databases by offering:

  • Support for the procedural generation of geometric structures
  • The ability to re-use data in other gaming and SAF formats

This year’s User Group will highlight how the OpenFlight format is being enhanced so that it can be easily used to procedurally generate content for offline and run-time applications, and used to support multiple gaming and SAF formats.
