In this presentation, Mr. Giannias will discuss how standards-based commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and an integrated portfolio of modeling and simulation tools, can offer a unique advantage in the development of an open, scalable, end-to-end modeling and simulation application.  Use cases including naval applications, battle lab upgrades, helicopter trainers, and sensor simulations will be discussed to illustrate how to progressively integrate our next generation software while leveraging your existing structures and deployed legacy architectures.

Creating Helicopter training applications using COTS software

Dale Sexton will present a real-world use case and explain in detail the process to put in place the necessary tools to develop a Helicopter training application based on COTS products. This presentation will be illustrated by a real life use case. He will cover such issues as interoperability, tactical scenario generation, and physics-based flight simulation.
