Unmanned Systems Simulation for Urban Operations

This unique seminar brings together thought leaders from Presagis and industry in the development of unmanned systems simulation applications.  Speakers will discuss current challenges and innovative, practical techniques to assist organizations to save time and money in the development of these applications.

Presagis Open House Reception
Following the seminar, we also invite participatants to visit our offices, meet the Presagis Orlando team and network with your Modeling and Simulation industry peers.   This afternoon reception will run from 4PM - 7PM in our Orlando office

Topics Covered

Keynote Presentation

UAS - Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow: A New Perspective - The importance of planning and limiting collateral damage
Bob Leonik, BD Director, Air Force Special Operations, Unmanned Systems and C4ISR

Mr. Leonik presents a unique perspective of where we came from, where we are now, and where we are going in this dynamic operational environment.

Presentation Schedule

Integrated COTS Technology for M&S Application Development
Chris Henderson, Vice President of Product Development

Industry is clearly communicating that project costs and integration issues are among the biggest challenges that are dealt with when developing modeling and simulation applications. Users require flexibility to choose from a wide variety of tools, standards, and formats to successfully deliver their projects on time and on budget.

In this presentation, Mr. Henderson will discuss how standards-based commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and an integrated portfolio of modeling and simulation tools, can offer a unique advantage in the development of an open, scalable, end-to-end modeling and simulation application.

From Raw Data to Running System: How Open Standards, Integrated Tools & CDB Will Save Organizations Time and Money

Chris Henderson, Vice President of Product Development

In the past, an offline or runtime processing approach utilizing disparate tools was used to compile databases. With this approach, different databases were created for each runtime system, correlation issues were common, and, when the overall application needed updating, the updates had to be implemented in each of the databases. Also, if the system suffered correlation problems, it was difficult to isolate and resolve such issues.

In this presentation, Mr. Henderson will discuss how using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, open standards such as CDB, and an integrated portfolio of modeling and simulation tools can offer ways to overcome these challenges.   Mr. Henderson will illustrate how this integrated solution can ultimately reduce the amount of work and time needed to have a system up and running resulting in lower overall costs.

Addressing M&S Challenges in Unmanned System Applications

Chris Henderson, Vice President of Product Development

More than ever, armed forces require training for the many challenges they will face in today's urban-centric wars.  And with the rapidly increasing number of unmanned systems and the need for training and simulation capabilities becoming more critical in urban warfare, trends in M&S application development are shifting to address these needs.  In the second half of this seminar, Mr. Henderson will discuss some solutions to these challenges in order to efficiently develop applications for unmanned systems training & analysis in various contexts.  Topics will include developing visualization applications for training, creating scenarios in different areas such as urban environments for analysis, as well as realistic effects of weapons systems, counter-measures, and feeds from the sensors.

Live Product Demonstrations

Demonstrations will focus on the latest Presagis product updates, and how you can leverage the Presagis software tool suite to help you efficiently develop your urban applications. This will include the use of artificial intelligence, scenario creation, terrain generation, and the creatino of airports and building interiors.

Partner Technology Demonstrations

CMLabs
CMLabs provides software and services for 3D real-time simulation of machine behaviour, physical motion and interactive environments for visual testing and training applications. They will demonstrate their Vortex for Vega Prime software toolkit which seamlessly integrates high fidelity dynamics for realistic simulation of vehicles, machinery and robotics within Vega Prime.

Scalable Display Technologies
Scalable Display Technologies will present its EasyBlend software that allows for the automatic calibration and edge-blending of multiple projectors into seamless digital displays. Scalable offers projector-level color correction to ensure the highest level of accuracy.  Vega Prime and Lyra are "Scalable enabled".
