This year will be Engenuity's biggest ITEC ever - and you're invited!

In Cologne, this April 24-26, visitors to the Engenuity Stand 420 will have a chance to experience the award winning simulation system that received the Frost and Sullivan 2006 Product Innovation of the Year Award.  Visitors will also be able to experience the full power of CAE's new COTS group by visiting all of our sister companies including: MultiGen-Paradigm (216), TERREX (144) and CAE (416).

Engenuity will be demonstrating the powerful new AIMS (Adaptable Intelligent modelling & Simulation) system. A comprehensive set of COTS simulation tools purpose built for the needs of integrated, next-generation MS&T environments.

Demos will include in-depth looks at the core Artificial Intelligence module, AI.implant, the unmatched real-time image generation system, Genesis RT by Diamond Visionics, and the industry-leading tactical scenario and database manager, STAGE. Visitors will also get a closer look at Boston Dynamic's DI-Guy human models, as well as Ægis Elements Real-Time 3D Models.

Engenuity's Chief Technology Officer and the inventor of AI.implant - Dr. Paul Kruszewski - has been invited to present at the ITEC Conference Sessions, where he will discuss the core principles of AIMS as well as considering the role of Serious Games in the MS&T market.

If you can't make that session, Dr. Kruszewski along with Scott Johnston (Product Manager of Simulation) and Graham Upton (Diamond Visionics) will be presenting the AIMS simulation strategy at the Innovation Showcase on Wednesday April 25th.

Be sure and mark your calendars, as Engenuity will be hosting a cocktail event on the show floor from 17h30 - 19h30 on Wednesday April 25th. This will be a chance to meet with some of the leading minds behind Engenuity's award winning simulation strategy, including Engenuity's CTO, Dr. Paul Kruszewski.

Do not hesitate to pre-book a private demonstration on the show floor so you can see just how Engenuity's AIMS strategy can help you bring your simulations into the next generation.

ITEC Conference Session: 26 April 2007

09:15 - 10:15 Typical Applications

The ever increasing computing and high graphic power of low cost off-the-shelf PCs opens up new possibilities for synthetic trainers. There is now a clear requirement for high to medium fidelity desktop trainers simulating systems and providing a virtual reality view. This session will look at some typical applications delivered on these platforms.

Presentations:

Adaptable Intelligent modelling & Simulation:
a flexible and intelligent approach to developing Next Generation Simulation technology

Dr Paul Kruszewski, CTO, Engenuity Technologies, Canada

Homeland Security, and non-kinetic simulations are in high demand today. The need for troops, first responders and disaster management teams to understand both an event, as well as the publics response to this event is key to building a truly effective simulation. Urban settings, unpredictable crowds, and highly populated areas are taking centre stage as the next big challenge for simulations. This talk will explore the benefits and promise of COTS solutions and game-based technologies for developing and deploying these next generation environments. Through an approach known as Adaptable Intelligent modelling & Simulation, Dr. Paul Kruszewski will consider the new options available to simulation designers through an exploration of Artificial Intelligence technology, and low-cost real-time image generators.

Tactics Training Using Reconfigurable Virtual Simulators
Martin Klicnar, Dalibor Prochazka, VR-Group, Czech Republic

Virtual Reality CBT “Underwater Explosive Ordnance Recognition and Identification”
Dr Uwe Katzky, Account Manager, Ray Sono AG, Germany

Innovation Showcase: 25 April 2007

11:30 - 12:00 Engenuity Technologies presents AIMS (Adaptable Intelligent Modelling & Simulation) > Building simulation solutions with COTS Technology

Engenuity’s Adaptable Intelligent modelling & Simulation (AIMS) COTS solution is the evolution of the simulation industry.

As a Next Generation approach to simulation and training, AIMS integrates all the software tools necessary to quickly and cost-effectively create simulation applications with greater immersive reality, intelligence, and real-time adaptability.

Learn how Engenuity is leading the way with Artificial Intelligence and the use of other Next Generation simulation software tools to develop leading-edge scenarios & simulations.

Presentation to be given by Dr. Paul Kruszewski, CTO, Robert Kopersiewich, Director of Product Management, and Graham Upton, Diamond Visionics.
