European Congress on Disaster Management 2007

Oct 30 - 31, 2007.
Stadthalle Bonn / Bad-Godesberg, Room .   Bonn, Germany.

This year, the congress will focus on the topic "European Strategies and Perspectives for Disaster Management".

In recent years, Europe was hit by a series of major and minor catastrophes. The effects of climate change and international terrorism are two big challenges for the disaster management within the European Union. Both, natural catastrophes and acts of terrorism have one thing in common. Neither the effects of climate change nor international terrorists are not restricted to national borders. A conclusion to be drawn from that fact is that the member states of the European Union have to improve their multinational strategies to be able to deal with these threats appropriately.

Presagis will give a presentation on how its COTS software solutions can help with today's challenging  applications for emergency management.

This conference is organized by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), the Federal Technical Support Agency (THW) and the Behörden Spiegel. This event developed itself in form, content and the quantity of participants – more than 1.500 experts from 40 Nations are expected to take part this international conference.
