Presagis is excited to be demonstrating their HMI software products at DASC 2008 .
We will be giving a paper presentation in the Avionics Design track on Tuesday, October 28th between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. We will also be displaying our HMI design and development COTS software tools in the exhibit area.
Visit us at at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront from October 26th-30th 2008.
The 27th DASC will be presenting professional education courses, exhibits, special events and speaker presentations as they examine recent developments in the design and use of digital avionics systems.
Presagis \ DASC 2008
Presagis will be presenting a paper by Yannick Lefebvre entitled "A Flexible solution to deploy avionics displays to multiple embedded platforms." This presentation will take place on October 28th in the 'Avionics Design' session from 1:00PM - 5:00PM.
Abstract
Avionics HMI developers depend on both in-house and COTS HMI tools in their day-to-day work. Unfortunately, many of these solutions support only a narrow set of embedded computing platforms or do not meet the performance requirements that a program defines. This means that engineering choices can be limited for HMI software and hardware combinations at the initial design phase and that seemingly straightforward hardware upgrades during an aircraft's lifecycle can become problematic.
Yannick will discuss the benefits and challenges of working with both in-house tools and COTS products when deploying to an embedded platform.
Presagis will also be displaying their cutting-edge Human Machine Interface (HMI) tools for the prototyping and design of embedded display graphics at DASC 2008 .

HMIHMI software enables users to prototype an interface for manipulating and controlling a vehicle or machine in a virtual environment. Ideal for testing, engineering, and training, HMI software allows users to achieve significant time and cost savings by prototyping real hardware in a virtual environment.

VAPS xt
Built on years of industry expertise and developed through close consultation with top avionics and automotive manufacturers, VAPS XT is a next-generation solution for data display, simulation applications, and the development of embedded systems. VAPS XT is ideal for the design of cockpit displays and for automotive applications ranging from digital and analog instrumentation.

VAPS XT 661 Module
VAPS XT 661 add-on module provides a quick and easy way to specify and design any cockpit display system that requires compliance with the new ARINC 661 aviation standard.
VAPS QCG
VAPS QCG dramatically shortens the time and effort required for producing qualifiable code for embedded displays. Qualifiable to RTCA DO-178B level A, VAPS QCG is designed to generate code in a consistent and reliable way and eliminates the need for manual coding of VAPS graphics, logic, and behavior.
